Together with the Cross River State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, we at Nugi Technologies are excited to announce the successful launch of an innovative app designed to document and enumerate small businesses, vulnerable people, senior citizens, and the unemployed within Cross River State.

This groundbreaking app is a game-changer in the way resources are curated and distributed. By identifying those in need, pinpointing their locations, and understanding their specific requirements, the Ministry and the Government are bridging critical gaps in resource delivery. From training programs to palliatives and business grants, this app ensures that help reaches the right people efficiently and effectively.

Desk Officers at the training workshop

One of the app's most significant advantages is the elimination of ghost lists, which ensures that critical resources are distributed fairly and efficiently. By accurately documenting and enumerating residents, we are creating a reliable database that allows the Government to target aid where it’s needed the most. This precision in resource allocation is set to transform the outlook of community support in Cross River State.

This initiative transcends mere technology; it is about community, support, and empowerment. By providing these essential resources, we are paving the way for economic growth and sustainable development within Cross River State. Together, we are making a difference, one step at a time.

To ensure the smooth implementation of this app, Nugi Technologies recently held a comprehensive training workshop for desk workers across all 18 LGAs. Anchored by Joseph Ofem, the training was attended by notable figures, including Chief of Staff of Cross River State, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, representing the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, the Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon. Michael Egbeda, Staff of the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment and Management and Staff of Nui Technologies.

The Chief of Staff declared the training open, emphasizing the transformative potential of leveraging technology to enhance governance and community support. He highlighted the state's commitment to innovation and expressed confidence in the app's ability to improve the lives of Cross River State residents.

The Commissioner spoke about the Governor's vision for setting up desk offices to capture and manage data on various demographics, including artisans, farmers, and the unemployed. He emphasized Nugi Technologies' expertise and innovative approach, expecting them to share their experience to achieve the initiative's objectives.

Ajoke Akinlabi, COO of Nugi Technologies, highlighted the company's contributions to the State and the importance of adopting new technology to make life easier. She emphasized the 24/7 support that would be provided to desk officers and encouraged everyone to embrace the change that technology brings.

The training was a two-day event held from the 29th to the 30th of July. It was an engaging and interactive session where desk officers asked questions and participated in demonstrations. The facilitator focused on the technical aspects of data collection, explaining the application and its usage, the expectations, and crisis management in the field. The aim was to ensure clean, usable data.

The app's key features include:

  • Dashboard Screen: A comprehensive overview of all activities for efficient management and monitoring.
  • User Search: Capability to search for users with existing Tax Identification Numbers (TINs).
  • Auto-Fill Information: Automatic filling of information for users with TINs, streamlining the process.
  • TIN Creation for New Users: Creation of TINs for new users, opening a fresh enumeration page.
  • Basic Information Screen: Dedicated screen for filling out the user's basic information.
  • Contact Information Screen: Collection of contact information for both Nigerians and foreigners.
  • Nigerian-Specific Requirements: Nigerians must provide their National Identification Number (NIN), state, and LGA of origin.
  • Category Screen: Categorization based on employment status, desired skills for the unemployed, and special notes for widowed individuals.

This app is set to restructure how Cross River State supports its residents, ensuring that no one is left behind. By embracing technology, we are not only improving efficiency but also fostering a sense of community and empowerment. At Nugi Technologies, we remain committed to driving positive change through innovation.
